Power transmission is the bulk movement of electrical energy from generating sites to electrical substations, forming the backbone of modern electrical infrastructure. At Srihari Techno Projects, we specialize in high-voltage transmission systems up to 400 kV, delivering efficient long-distance power transmission with minimal losses.
Our comprehensive power transmission services encompass the complete EPC value chain from concept to commissioning. We utilize advanced engineering techniques and high-voltage systems to reduce power losses, as transmission losses are inversely proportional to voltage levels - higher voltages result in significantly reduced energy losses during transmission.
High-voltage transmission systems are crucial for efficient power distribution across large distances. Our expertise in voltage levels ranging from 69 kV to 400 kV enables us to design and construct transmission lines that minimize energy losses through the principle of I²R reduction. By using higher voltages and lower currents for the same power level, we dramatically reduce power transmission losses.
Our transmission line projects include comprehensive infrastructure development with overhead lines supported by steel lattice towers, designed to handle voltages from 69 kV to 400 kV. Key components include high-voltage conductors, insulators made from glass, porcelain, and composite polymers, and specialized switchgear for system control and protection.
Infrastructure is the backbone of the nation. Our transmission line projects are designed to execute in the most difficult terrains and conditions, ensuring reliable power delivery across vast distances with minimal environmental impact.

Transmission substations play a crucial role in our power transmission systems, performing voltage transformation, switching, and control functions. Our substation designs include step-up transformers at generation sites to increase voltage for efficient transmission, and step-down transformers at receiving stations to reduce voltage for distribution networks.
Essential substation components include primary and secondary power lines, transformers for voltage measurement, circuit breakers, current transformers, lightning arresters, main transformers, and comprehensive control buildings with security systems. These facilities ensure safe and reliable power transmission across our network.
Our transmission systems are classified into three categories: short transmission lines (up to 80 kilometers, 69 kV), medium transmission lines (80-250 kilometers, 69-133 kV), and long transmission lines (over 250 kilometers, above 133 kV). For long transmission lines, we account for distributed line parameters and wave nature of transmission to ensure optimal performance.
